Hike up Medicine Bow Peak

The church trek was this year, from July 31 to August 2. While Mom and Paul were on the trek, Dad, Josh, and I went a major hike on Friday. We drove up to the Snowy Range mountains, and hiked all the way up Medicine Bow Peak. We had to climb up many boulders too! It was SO tiring, but beautiful. We had a really fun time!

This is me, Josh, and Dad on the top of the peak:

When we were heading back down from the top of the peak, we had to go down a big section of snow. At one point, we just slid down on our butts. This is Josh sliding down:

We climbed up so high, that we could see down on these peaks and the lakes! It was awesome. This is a picture of Mirror Lake and the beautiful Snowy Range mountains next to it:

When we were nearly to the top, we were so tired and hot, that Josh just laid down in the snow. This is him in the snow:

This is me on the snow with the beautiful view behind:

This is just a picture of all the gorgeous lakes and the view:
There were many pretty wildflowers along the trails. This is me and Josh sitting in them:
This is Dad and I standing in front of Lewis Lake:

We thought it was crazy that there was snow on August 1st, so we decided to get a picture of Josh and Dad having a snowball fight:
