Josh's swim season, Amy's Honor Ceremony, Easter

For Easter, we had a great visit to Maria, Clark, Will, Rosie and Adalyn. Amy spent Saturday, March 30, with the Young Women in our ward. They spent the day in Salt Lake exploring Temple Square and ended the day with the Young Women General Meeting at the Conference Center. Laura came with us to visit Maria. On Sunday, we went to church in Salt Lake and then drove to Mountain View. We had a delicious meal thanks to Clark and Maria and then we hid eggs for Will and Rosie. They had fun hunting for the eggs in their backyard.



 
Josh started swimming this year as part of the 7th and 8th grade swimming team at LJHS. He has already improved a lot and it was so fun to watch him in his meets. Here's a picture of him in his swim uniform. At the end of the post, there is a video of him swimming an individual medley (fly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle) and getting first place!
 
 
Also, Amy had her last high school Honors Ceremony on Tuesday, April 9. She earned a National Honor Society stoll and Spanish Honor Society cords to wear at graduation. She finished with a 4.0 GPA! Here's a picture of Amy with her proud father :)

It looks like such a fun visit with Maria's family! And I'm very proud of Josh for doing swimming and of Amy for being such a super honor student. We sure have an awesome family!

Thank you so much for this post. You and Josh are SO kick-butt! Wow, I have to say it--all of the Weatherfords officially rock. :) Amy, you're gorgeous and brilliant, and you should get your PhD in rocket science, and I can't believe how GREAT Josh's strokes looked! I am SUCH a proud older brother. Wow, you guys are amazing.

Great memories! It was great spending the weekend with Maria and her family, you guys (Mom, Dad, Amy and Josh)! Josh is a great swimmer, so I'm glad some of his stuff got posted, too :) Thanks for the post!

On January 6th, I got braces from my orthodontist, Dr. Edwards. He said I will be wearing them for about 3 years. My teeth were very sore for the first few days, and all I could eat was stuff like yogurt, soup and other soft food. Trip to West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia

First we visited with the Holderness family. So fun! Yes, there may have been donuts and Italian food. Next we drove to Baltimore and saw Rob's wonderful apartment -- Next we drove to Christiansburg, Virginia, for a couple of days at Virginia Tech with Laura and Andrew -- Om our last day, we hiked to Cascade Fall. Yellowstone & Teton

 Mom and I went up to the northwest corner of our beautiful state of Wyoming.  First, we stopped overnight in Grand Teton Natl Park .   it was a very short cabin (and an original settler's one) it was a little smoky. Next we drove to Mammoth Hot Springs in the NW corner of Yellowstone NP. we had a ton of elk right in front of our cabin! Buffalo everywhere in Lamar Valley, where a few of you went as 4th graders. The bull elk comes into town....ready to fight for his mating ritual Next we went on the BearTooth Highway, which reaches nearly 11, 000 feet and usually has mountain goats. Next we headed down to Old Faithful and the Geyser basin.  it was truly amazing! one of our favorites--Sapphire pool! Some of you may remember Riverside Geyser Good Old Faithful....erupts every 90 minutes, but only lasts about 3-5 minutes a new find--Castle Geyser--it went off for 20-25 minutes! our cabin at Old Faithful Lodge Our last stop was in the Canyon and Falls area ....
