Days 3 & 4 (Sunday/Monday)

On Sunday morning, we got dressed for church, then ate breakfast at IHOP. We then attended sacrament meeting, then went back to the hotel, packed up and checked out of the Hilton Garden Inn. Then we drove 250 miles to Eureka, Missouri. That night, we checked into the Motel 6. Then we searched for a barbecue restaurant in our GPS, and we chose Dickey's. As we were driving to it, Josh and Amy were in the backseat praying that it would be out of business. When we got there, it was out of business and Josh and Amy were doing high-fives. :) Then we looked for the next Dickey's on the list and we couldn't even find the building where it used to be. Then we decided to try Bandana's BBQ, which actually was in business. We ate outside and saw a baby rabbit running around that was so cute. The ribs were very disappointing to Amy, but Mom loved the turkey. Dad, Amy and Josh scarfed down the donut holes for dessert. Amy tipped her chair over on accident and hit her head on the concrete. It was very painful and embarrassing. After dinner, we immediately changed into our swimsuits and went out to the pool. We were sad to see there was no hot tub, but there was a huge pool. When we were there, there were two Indian men working at the front desk. Before we went swimming, Josh went to the front desk to get four towels and when the Indian guy handed them to him, Josh said "gracias," not realizing that they weren't Mexican. :) The pool was a little cold, so Dad sat on the edge with his legs in the water. Then a funny little boy with giant goggles went swimming under his legs. After that, the boy started kicking the water right in front of Dad, splashing him. Dad had the best facial expression. It was too funny. After swimming, we warmed up in the sauna, then went back to our room. There, we saw that Dumb and Dumber was on TV, so we watched that.

The next day (Monday) we ate breakfast at Panera bread, then drove to Six Flags St. Louis. We got there at 10 in the morning and stayed there all day. Mom, Dad, and I rode every roller coaster in the park while Josh preferred the spinning swings and the Rush Street Flyer. My (Amy's) favorite ride was the Batman. It was a roller coaster where your feet dangle and it was a lot of fun. We also went to some of the shows they provide in the park. One was a group of people who sang songs that are popular right now. One was a music trivia game show. At about 8:30 pm, it began to rain, so they closed the park for the night. We ran to our car, but we got soaked anyway. We stayed at the Motel 6 again Monday night.

Josh and I did this fun thing where you get strapped up to bungee cords with a trampoline underneath you, so when you bounce you go really high. It was a lot of fun.
